플레이어는 아서 코난도일이 창조한 가상의 탐정 셜록 홈즈가 되어 이유를 모른채 버려지게 된 영국 고고학자 몽칼페 경의 저택을 수사하게 됩니다.
프로그웨어와 비바미디어에서 개발한 첫번째 셜록 홈즈 게임이며, 2009년에는 닌텐도 DS용으로 이식 되었습니다.
