페넘브라: 오버추어(Penumbra: Overture i)는 에피소드 형 서바이벌호러 게임시리즈의 첫 게임으로 프릭셔널 게임즈에서 개발했습니다. 원래 의도는 3부작 중의 첫번째 에피소드로 만들었습니다
두번째 에피소드 페넘브라: 블랙 플레이그 제작 발표때에 이 두번째 게임이 마지막이 될거라고 언급했습니다. 그러나 확장편 페넘브라: 레퀴엠이 이후에 출시 되었습니다. 실질적으로 시리즈의 3번째 이야기가 되었습니다.
